MOLECULAR BIOLOGY LAB
|
Molecular Biology Laboratory at IOB was approved by the Review Committee on Genetic Manipulation (RCGM) to carry out experimental research involving genetically engineered organisms as per the norms of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, New Delhi. IOB has constituted an Institutional review board, Institutional Biosafety committee (IBSC), which is under the direct supervision of RCGM which consists of a DBT nominee, one medical expert and institutional experts to approve and review new and ongoing research projects carried out by the institute. Biosafety in the institute has been ensured by strictly adhering to the ethical issues, rules and regulations issued by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the DBT and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB). |
